Renewable Energy

Geothermal, floating solar, hydro and bioethanol

Why energy in Lampung

Lampung combines active geothermal working areas (Ulubelu already generates 260 MW), dams suited to floating solar, wind-rich coastlines and abundant cassava, corn and molasses for bioethanol. The province aims to become Indonesia’s first green-hydrogen technology innovation hub.

  • Over 1.1 GW floating-solar potential from two major dams, up to IDR 5.9 T investment
  • Geothermal: Ulubelu 260 MW operating, Rajabasa 283 MW, Ranau up to 40 MW
  • Bioethanol feedstock: cassava #1, molasses #2, corn #3 nationally
  • Waste-to-energy site at Kotabaru, South Lampung
